About

Rachael Sage is a soulful vocalist and innovative multi-instrumentalist who has earned a loyal following with her dynamic piano playing, delicate guitar work, expressive vocals and improvisational audience interaction. Joy!, Rachael’s first holiday EP, is a playful folk-pop collection featuring a cover of the classic “Joy To The World” – an uptempo re-vamp with a tinge of Americana twang. Other tracks include Sage’s original Hanukkah song “Tchatchkes & Latkes”, and her first Yiddish recording, “Umru Meine”. Sage has shared stages with Judy Collins, Shawn Colvin, Dar Williams, Beth Hart, Colin Hay, and Ani DiFranco. She’s received numerous songwriting awards including The John Lennon Songwriting Contest (Grand Prize) and several Independent Music Awards. A record-breaking 22 placements on Lifetime’s TV series Dance Moms have resulted in 10 million+ YouTube views. Look for Rachael’s forthcoming album Myopia, out this Spring on MPress Records/ILS/Caroline.

Rachael Sage to Perform @ The Gifts of Love Auction Sept. 20

MPress Records' flagship artist – and 4-time Independent Music Award winner – Rachael Sage is currently touring behind her latest critically-acclaimed album, "Blue Roses" and will be performing at a special luncheon for The Gifts of Love in Queens, NY on 9/20.

The Gifts of Love Auction/Luncheon has been the AIDS Center of Queens County's (ACQC) signature event for more than 25 years. Sage has been involved in previous years and looks forward to this year's event.

"I'm so honored to be supporting the AIDS Center of Queens County and the incredible work they're doing in their community. HIV/AIDS has long been a cause very close to my heart, especially as someone who grew up in the NYC dance and theater communities, where I first encountered the disease as it took the lives of many of my mentors, teachers and performers I admired. Since then, treatment has come so far and people are living longer, fuller lives well after diagnosis, thanks to the energies of organizations like ACQC and events like Gifts Of Love."

The Village Voice described Rachael's music as "lovely and literate...folk-pop-rock, socially aware and eclectic"
