About

Rachael Sage is a soulful vocalist and innovative multi-instrumentalist who has earned a loyal following with her dynamic piano playing, delicate guitar work, expressive vocals and improvisational audience interaction. Joy!, Rachael’s first holiday EP, is a playful folk-pop collection featuring a cover of the classic “Joy To The World” – an uptempo re-vamp with a tinge of Americana twang. Other tracks include Sage’s original Hanukkah song “Tchatchkes & Latkes”, and her first Yiddish recording, “Umru Meine”. Sage has shared stages with Judy Collins, Shawn Colvin, Dar Williams, Beth Hart, Colin Hay, and Ani DiFranco. She’s received numerous songwriting awards including The John Lennon Songwriting Contest (Grand Prize) and several Independent Music Awards. A record-breaking 22 placements on Lifetime’s TV series Dance Moms have resulted in 10 million+ YouTube views. Look for Rachael’s forthcoming album Myopia, out this Spring on MPress Records/ILS/Caroline.

Acclaimed Artist to Perform at the 24th Annual Yonkers Riverfest on 9/10

4-time Independent Music Award winner Rachael Sage will be performing in your area at the 24th Annual Yonkers Riverfest in Yonkers, NY on September 10, 2016 @ 2:00PM. The NYC-based singer-songwriter and her band The Sequins join the festival lineup to celebrate her new album CHOREOGRAPHIC. Sage will perform her signature blend of folk, pop and rock for an inspired set of piano-based chamber-pop with Kelly Halloran on violin and Andy Mac on drums. Rachael is available for in-person, phone or email interviews. Promotional help/consideration for her show and/or album are appreciated, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on covering Rachael's performance.

CHOREOGRAPHIC: Rachael Sage, who studied at The School of American Ballet in her teens, delivers a musically ambitious and emotionally accessible tribute to her very first love: Dance. After over 20 song placements on Lifetime TV’s Dance Moms, Sage and her music have reached an ever-widening audience, amassing close to 10 million views on YouTube.

The first single "Try Try Try”, is playful, uptempo folk-pop track that BaebleMusic describes as "fueled by triumph and feminine resilience." Featuring Sage's signature clever lyrics, catchy harmonies and impressive guitar skills, the song has a tinge of country twang and more than a little bit of rock attitude. It debuted in the top 100 on the Adult Contemporary radio chart and climbed all the way up to #6 putting Rachael alongside heavy hitters like P!nk, Adele, Taylor Swift and Rachel Platten. Listen to "Try Try Try now!

PopMatters, who premiered the official music video for the second single “I Don’t Believe It”, says that Rachael “created an uplifting and powerful piece of music" with an empowering, anti-bullying message. The video features 11-year-old dance champion Kaci King. Watch the video for "I Don't Believe It" now!

Rachael recently contributed a poignant and moving new song "Disarm Distrust", penned in response to the tragic shootings in Orlando, to MPress Records' "Songs For Orlando" EP. Featuring new tracks from Seth Glier & A Fragile Tomorrow as well, the EP can be downloaded from Noisetrade for a pay-what-you-want donation that will benefit The GLBT Center of Orlando.
