Rachael Sage is a soulful vocalist and innovative multi-instrumentalist who has earned a loyal following with her dynamic piano playing, delicate guitar work, expressive vocals and improvisational audience interaction. Joy!, Rachael’s first holiday EP, is a playful folk-pop collection featuring a cover of the classic “Joy To The World” – an uptempo re-vamp with a tinge of Americana twang. Other tracks include Sage’s original Hanukkah song “Tchatchkes & Latkes”, and her first Yiddish recording, “Umru Meine”. Sage has shared stages with Judy Collins, Shawn Colvin, Dar Williams, Beth Hart, Colin Hay, and Ani DiFranco. She’s received numerous songwriting awards including The John Lennon Songwriting Contest (Grand Prize) and several Independent Music Awards. Sage Makes Debut at Radio Industry FMQB Triple A Conference
Rachael Sage, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist will have her debut performance at radio industry FMQB's Triple A Conference at the St. Julien Hotel & Spa in Boulder, CO on Thursday, Aug 7. Sage joins a great line up including Train, Lucius, Charlie Mars, Ray LaMontagne, Ryan Adams and more. She will bring her unique brand of infectious melodies and poetic lyrics to the stage via her innovative keyboard playing and delicate guitar work. Joining her on stage is her full band, The Sequins including violinist Kelly Halloran (G.Love), cellist/guitarist Ward Williams (Sara Bareilles, Brandi Carlile) and drummer Andy Mac (Deni Bonet).
Sage will be celebrating her latest EP "New Destination", which showcases her confident and sophisticated songwriting, merging classical, folk, pop and rock influences. Featuring members of Daft Punk, Patti Smith and Bruce Springsteen's bands. The eclective 4 song recording redefines Sage's string-heavy alt-pop within a more adventurous, contemporary setting.
Produced by Sage and Barb Morrison (Deborah Harry, Rufus Wainwright), "New Destination" features four brand new chamber-pop gems, and showcases her touring band The Sequins. The title track, which premiered in American Songwriter, is available for free download here. The EP is available now.
