- New York, NY
Since founding her own label MPress Records two decades ago, NYC-based alt-pop artist Rachael Sage has steadily released a slew of vibrant, dynamic albums with poetic lyrics spanning subjects as wide as her inspirations. She has toured with an eclectic list of artists including Ani DiFranco, Beth Hart, Sarah McLachlan, Judy Collins and Howard Jones. Sage also continues to significantly grow her visibility via her many song placements, including 22 songs on top reality show Dance Moms, translating into over 10 million YouTube hits. Her newest offering, PseudoMyopia, is a companion acoustic album to Sage’s critically acclaimed release, Myopia. Exploring the concept of vision in all its many manifestations, she touches upon topics as varied as government surveillance, environmental protection, and female empowerment. Produced by Sage and Grammy® winner Andy Zulla, the album features guest musicians Ben Butler (Sting), bassist Richard Hammond (Joan Osborne), and cellist Ward Williams (Sara Bareilles). Sage is currently touring the US and UK in collaboration with the charity Vision Aid Overseas, which helps provide optical aid and services to developing countries in Africa.

Hurricane Benefit & Release Party / Rachael Sage 12/13
Award-winning singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rachael Sage will perform at Rockwood Music Hall on December 13 with her band, The Sequins. The show will also be a release party for her new holiday EP, Joy!, as well as a charity benefit for MusiCares Hurricane Relief Fund.
Sage will perform a special program of material celebrating the release of her new EP along with additional holiday-themed songs from her 12 album back-catalog. 100% of net proceeds from the release show will benefit the MusiCares Hurricane Relief Fund, which supports members of the music community affected by the devastation of the recent hurricanes.
Rachael Sage never ceases to surprise. Whether it's via her innovative, often handmade stage costumes or unlikely collaborations with artists such as Howard Jones and Judy Collins, the colorful artist isn't afraid to give things her own spin. Known for her impressive musicianship and witty stage banter, Sage has steadily built a large and loyal grassroots fan base with a rigorous international tour schedule, prompting Blurt Magazine to dub her "The Carole King of her generation"
Joy! is Sage's very first holiday collection and was released on November 10, 2017. The self-produced, 5-track EP was recorded and mixed by Grammy® nominee John Shyloski (Twiddle) and Grammy@ winner Andy Zulla (Idina Menzel) and boasts a variety of guest musicians along with Sage's longtime band The Sequins: cellist Ward Williams (Sara Bareilles), violinist Kelly Halloran (Tom Morello), and drummer Andy Mac (Deni Bonet). The EP features a cover of the timeless holiday classic "Joy To The World", a Yiddish ballad, and two original Hanukkah songs including fan favorite "Hanukkah In The Village". The physical packaging also includes a recipe for Romanian latkes, contributed by a friend's bubbe, a.k.a. grandmother.
